The Lottery Winners are halfway through their tour of the UK hot off their run of shows supporting Robbie Williams the band are still in top form cracking jokes at every given opportunity.

Stepping onstage to Venga Boys ‘We Like To Party’ this set the scene to the chaos that was about to ensue. Song still playing Thom starts twerking before breaking out into some form of improvised comedy routine. Taking a moment to point us photographers out calling us perverts before striking poses for his “Only Fans”. Then thrusting into song with ‘Superpower’ which covers themes of neurodiversity closely referring to Thom’s ADHD  as a superpower.

The set understandably mostly consisted of songs from their newest Number 1 hitting album KOKO in addition to other fan favourites from their first number one album “Anxiety Replacement Therapy” released just under 2 years prior. Fans were treated to their own lottery moment in the form of “Thom’s Bola” where the band rolled  on a… YOU GUESS IT…..   A tombola hence the pun, featuring back catalogue songs first pick being 85 Trips where the general consensus were unenthusiastic with this choice and opted for a re-roll and opting for “21” instead.

Aside from the banter there was an overall theme of belonging and empowerment deep rooted in all songs with moments enforcing that with intimate moments with an acoustic solo for a segment of “Struggling” later accompanied by the band and a moment later in the set were the band were met with a sea of phone torches and a lighter or two, Whilst the 1865s disco ball set the ambience giving a level of wholesomeness.

The band also took a moment to celebrate their recent accolades such as their two NO.1 albums as previously mentioned and having recently doing a charity concert raising £65,000 for a hospice local to the band. Sharing a little bit of Trivia about their first ever sold out show being in Southamptons very own and recently saved for many to enjoy forever, The Joiners.

Next Year the band embark on their first ever headline stadium tour in which I would be keen to see them at after their commanding performance this evening. A tour I expect to see some sell out dates on!
