ALTER BRIDGE ANNOUNCE BLACKBIRD FESTIVAL — ROCK LEGENDS TO STORM CARDIFF CASTLE IN 2026

Cardiff Castle has always been the place to do a festival, against the Welsh flag and the castle backdrop. In 2026, it’s set to shake to its foundations as multi-platinum rock giants Alter Bridge bring their brand new Blackbird Festival to the Welsh capital on Saturday 27 June 2026.

As part of TK Maxx Presents Depot Live in Cardiff Castle, the inaugural event will see Alter Bridge headline a stacked up line-up, featuring none other than Wales’ finest Skindred, powerhouse trio Florence Black and rockers Cardinal Black plus more acts yet to be announced.

The festival announcement comes ahead of Alter Bridge’s self-titled eighth studio album set to release early next year, as well as a homecoming show from Skindred and other local heroes. Speaking about this new venture, frontman Miles Kennedy said that ‘The Blackbird Festival is not only to commemorate 20-plus years of being a band, but it’s also a way to show appreciation for the fans in Wales who have patiently waited for the return’.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 22 August at 9.30am via https://www.blackbirdfest.com
