JIMMY EAT WORLD ANNOUNCE HUGE BLEED AMERICAN 25TH ANNIVERSARY SHOWS

Arizona alternative-rock titans Jimmy Eat World have officially announced a massive UK return, confirming a celebratory 25th anniversary ‘Bleed American’ show at London’s Gunnersbury Park on Sunday 16 August 2026. The landmark event marks the band’s biggest UK headline show to date — and a bucket-list moment for fans of one of the most influential rock albums of the 2000s.

Joining them for this one-off celebration are special guests Rise Against, with additional support from The Get Up Kids and Jay Som, bringing together an intergenerational lineup of scene-shaping artists.

A full Bleed American Performance - For the first time in the UK

Taking place 25 years after its release, the Gunnersbury Park event will offer UK fans one of their first-ever opportunities to hear Bleed American performed in full, front to back. Fans can expect a career-spanning set featuring rare tracks, cult favourites, and era-defining hits — all delivered with the group's biggest production setup yet.

Released in 2001, Bleed American stands as one of the defining records of modern alternative rock. Certified Platinum in the US and Gold in the UK, the album propelled the band to global recognition, powered by anthems like Sweetness, A Praise Chorus, and the timeless hit 'The Middle' — now a member of Spotify’s Billion Streams Club.

Widely credited as a cultural and creative catalyst, the record shaped the sound of a generation, influencing artists from Fall Out Boy and Paramore to Dashboard Confessional and The Wonder Years. Its imagery — a set of bowling trophies perched atop a cigarette machine — comes from photographer William Eggleston’s ‘Memphis’, personally chosen by frontman Jim Adkins.

The announcement caps off a busy year for the band, who recently tore up stages across North America as special guests to The Offspring, delivered a widely praised set at Download Festival, and appeared at Sonic Temple, Welcome To Rockville, Four Chord Music Festival, Furnace Fest and Best Friends Forever.

Meanwhile, the band continues work on new music while celebrating the release of their Something(s) Loud EP, featuring vinyl debuts of fan-favourite singles Something Loud, Place Your Debts, Call to Love, and the previously unreleased 2019 track Failure. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned to JimmyEatWorld.com, where more major announcements are expected in 2026.
