Lyrically the song is a commentary on the multitude of injustices that pervade the world, and the ways in which the barrage of disasters can help evoke a sense of powerlessness as these atrocities happen “Right before my eyes”

Weller, no stranger to politically charged anthems, delivers an evocative vocal performance which serves to underline the track's poignant lyrics. His gravelly voice sits seamlessly in production which weaves vintage-inspired instrumentation with a contemporary polish that helps the song feel timeless.
