Tom Grennan // Everywhere I Went, Led Me to Where I Didn’t Want to Be
TOM GRENNAN’S NEW ALBUM IS ANOTHER BELTER!
★★★★☆ (4/5)
Tom Grennan’s fourth record feels like a turning point. Across its songs, there’s a clear sense of someone pushing through old struggles and stepping into a new, more confident chapter.
The opener, Shadowboxing, sets the tone with its mix of big choruses and a restless drive. It’s Grennan at his most honest, capturing that feeling of fighting with yourself but refusing to give up. From there, the album grows brighter, particularly on Full Attention, a lively, piano-driven track that makes the most of his raspy vocals and ear for melody. It’s one of those songs that feels built for summer playlists and late-night singalongs.
Balancing out the big moments is I Won’t Miss a Thing, a heartfelt piece that lands closer to a ballad. Inspired by family, it’s reflective and warm, showing the more vulnerable side of Grennan’s songwriting.
Overall, this is an album about growth. The production leans into radio-friendly pop, but Grennan’s voice and grounded storytelling stop it from feeling over-polished. It’s a record that reminds us why he’s become one of the UK’s most reliable chart names, while also giving glimpses of someone still pushing for more.
